With over 2,700 students and over 800 student athletes, Jupiter High School is one of the largest schools in the county with one of the largest and most successful athletic programs, on one of the smallest campuses. With over 7,000 athletes, JTAA is one of the largest and most successful sports organizations in Florida. The combined activities are an integral part of Jupiter's quality of life. Located at Jupiter Community High School — 500 North Military Trail —lupiter Stadium will be a state of the art facility for joint use by Jupiter Community High School, the Town of Jupiter and JTAA, with an opportunity for additional fee users, and to host tournaments and championship events at all age levels. We have commitments for $650,000 of the estimated $800,000 project cost already raised, through the Town's 2014 Capital Improvements Budget, sponsorships and initial donations, with the JHS Athletic Booster Club to raise the balance by April 15, 2014. We are also working with the School District to resurface the track as part of the project. We are planning to commence construction in June 2014, with project completion in August 2014. t ' ' , We must raise the balance of the funds by Aprit 15, 2014. .. The Jupiter Stadium Improvement Project will enhance the experience for our local athletes at all ages, band and other activities, and further link the school with the community, its residents and businesses. i f . . _ ..- ,,, `.. . ._ ..; . _ - r. ct { ' , - ` ° §;a _ ` L y ,.,, t:o„cess;o,ts °, } -_. ' - , - _ _ ------_ . ' _.. _. _ —_.._ . .__ ¢ . .. - f - , - - - — -- _ . .,. +..' °. . ,. .. ._-_-_ . . Last year, 10 of our 28 sports were District or Regional Champions, our Baseball team made it to the State Championship Semi-Finals for the first time in program history and we were ranked 15 in the state for Class 8A Overall for the 2012- 13 FHSAA Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards point standings. So far this year, our girl's volleyball team won Districts and Regionals, advancing to the State Final Four, our girls and boys bowling teams, our girls and boys swim teams, and our boys golf team all won Districts. At the end of the Fall season, we were ranked 10 in the State for Class 8A Overall for the 2013-14 FHSAA Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards point standings. Our band finished 4th in the state again this year. For the past six consecutive years, the Spirit of Jupiter Marching Band has finished in the Top Five in their class at FMBC state championships. Boys soccer won their District title and our cheerleaders just came in 4 in the State. As "One Tribe," the Jupiter Warriors are off to a great start for the school year. Our goal is to be the preeminent public school for athletics and activities in Florida. Upgraded facilities are essential to reach this goal. Jupiter Stadium is the first of what we hope will be many projects. JTAA has one of the most successful community athletic programs in Florida, with over 7,000 athletes. Jupiter Community Park is an excellent facility, as is Lighthouse Park, and the Town is developing four new multi-use fields in Abacoa. Still, there are additional needs for fields including the need for a signature stadium for JTAA use, community events, band competitions, championships and sports tournaments. An improved Jupiter Stadium will be that signature facility for the school and Town. Natural Grass Simply Can't Survive the Usage and Provide a Safe and Consistent Playing Surface Natural grass on the Stadium Field simply can't survive 3 football teams, 4 soccer teams, 4 lacrosse teams, 3 flag football teams, track and field, band and PE classes, and that is without practicing on it or allowing JTAA or outside group use. Over the last ten years, we have replaced the natural grass field three times, and that is without team practice or any JTAA or other community use of the field. Our heaviest season for usage is about to begin, and despite additional efforts, it is in rough shape. Included are underground and base work ($300,000); pad for increased safety and longer life ($80,000); synthetic turf field with lines for all sports — football, soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, flag football ($330,000); relocation of long jump, triple jump, discuss and shot put, electrical ($30,000); equipment, landscaping and sponsor recognition ($20,000) and contingency ($40,000). The turf field has a life of 10-12 years, so we will set aside $35,000 per year for a renewal & replacement account, to be funded by the Booster Club, fees for outside organizations using the field for events and sponsors, so that the funds are assured for replacement. If we are able to raise additional funds in this effort, we will do additional improvements to our athletic facilities, including potentially a new scoreboard, bleacher upgrades, practice and training facilities, just to name a few. We are also applying for an NFL grant to assist with these costs, but will not know if we are selected until after the April 2014 deadline for June 2014 project commencement. If we get the grant, those funds will go to the field and we will use the remaining funds for other improvements. We hope this will be the first of many projects as we provide the facilities needed to give our athletes — in youth sports and high school - the best opportunity for success, not only in Jupiter but beyond. Jupiter Stadium Improvement Project March 9, 2014 Sponsorship and Donation Opportunities The lead sponsor opportunity is $100,000 for a five-year term, with recognition throughout the stadium and school, and also through media and programs. The lead sponsor has an opportunity for primary branding and to work with the school on a custom package to promote their business. Below are some illustrations of areas for branding and initial concepts — lead sponsor can help design. -> #i'' `` ; ».
