She mentioned that it would be nice if the Village had a business type forum for owners to get together and network. I told her about the Business Roundup we did years back and that the businesses had all agreed they would take the responsibility from there. I explained it was really something the businesses needed to do. She mentioned to me that Florida has the once a year "Shop Local" campaign but nothing else to bring customers to small shops rather than big box shops. On my way back to the office I was thinking about Florida's one day a year campaign and thought how we could market a monthly event for our businesses using our website and Facebook. I recall Vince asking for us to put all the Tequesta businesses on our website with the business links. That is not what I'm referring to as that would be far too time consuming for my office to keep up with (as businesses come and go and constantly change co.r,tact / we info!. 3a*, mh n,/e OUI 8S5'S+ ir the fu!lon,;^_ m^:r: • Village advertise / market the "Shop and Dine Tequesta" (SDT) event each month during non-season (via all our local communication outlets). : . a__` , __. , .,_,._. _ __. ,.. :_ _ • The businesses that plan to participate can have a link on our webpage specifically created only for this purpose (this would change each event base on the participants) with a printable map for shoppers to take with them (downloaded from website).
