SUBJECT: Employment Agreement — First Addendum
Attached are two original "First Addendum to Employment Agreement between James
M. Weinand and the Village of Tequesta" agreements as signed by the Village Manager
on May 27, 2014.
Per the Manager, this two -month extension falls within his authority to authorize and is
on the June Workshop for discussion by Council.
Please sign the two agreements, and return one original to me for the official files.

FIRST ADDENDUM TO
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN JAMES M. WEINAND AND THE
VH,LAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA

THIS FIRST ADDENDUM, is made and entered into this day of May, 2014,
effective June 1, 2014, by and between the Village of Tequesta, Florida, a municipal corporation,
with offices located. at 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida 33469, and James M. Weinand, an
individual, both of whom agree that the current Employment Agreement made and entered into by
and between the parties on the 9 day of May 2013, is hereby amended pursuant to Section 10
thereof in the following manner:
Section 1: The parties desire to extend the term of the Employment Agreement for a
period of two (2) months, until July 31, 2014. The extension is otherwise under the exact terms
and conditions as the current Employment Agreement.
Section 2: This First Addendum shall be attached to the Employment Agreement and
shall become a part thereof. All other sections of the Employment Agreement shall remain in full
force and effect as set forth in the Employment Agreement and there shall be no changes to the
Employment Agreement with the exception of those items specifically set forth in this First
Addendum.
Section 3: Further, the parties agree as follows:
A. This First Addendum shall be binding upon and shall inure to the benefit of the
heirs at law and executors of the parties.
B. If any provision or any portion contained in this First Addendum is held
unconstitutional, invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this First Addendum, or portion
thereof, shall be deemed severable, shall not be affected and shall remain in full force and effect
C. The parties hereby agree that this First Addendum shall be attached to the
Employment Agreement and shall become a part thereof.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Village of Tequesta, Florida has caused this First
Addendum to be signed and executed on its behalf by its Manager, and duly attested by its Village

Clerk; and James M. Weinand has signed and executed this First Addendum, the day and year first
above written.
