I. The Code Enforcem�ent Board of the Village of Tequesta held a
regularly scheduled meeting at the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta
Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Tuesday, April 7, 1992. The
meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman William
Frank. A roll call was taken by the Recording Secretary, Fran
Bitters. Boardmembers present were: Chairman William Frank,
Vice Chairman Paul Brienza, Thomas Mortati, Tim Goldsbury,
William Sharpless, William Treacy, and Gordon Ritter. Also
in attendance were: Scott Ladd, Clerk of the Board, and Steve
Kennedy, Code Enf��rcement Officer.
II. APPROVAL OF AGEND�
Boardmember Sharpless moved to approve the Agenda as
submitted. Boardmember Goldsbury seconded the motion. The
vote on the motiom was:

III. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Boardmember Mortati moved that the Code Enforcement Board
Meeting Minutes of January 7, 1992 be approved as submitted.
Boardmember Treacy seconded that motion. The vote on the
motion was:

Thomas Mortati - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
William Sharpless - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted.
IV. SWEARING IN OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Scott Ladd, Clerk of the Board, swore in Code Enforcement
Officer, Steve Kennedy.
V. PUBLIC HEARINGS
1) Case No. 92-02: Richard & Theresa Rozell, 135 River
Drive, Tequesta. Violation of Chapter 10, Article II,
Health & sanitation, Section 10-18(d), Villaqe Code of
Ordinances.
2) Case No. 92-03: Robert Snowey, 424 Cypress Drive, Unit
C, Tequesta. Violation of Appendix A, Zoninq, Section
X(L)(1) and (2)(b), Villaqe Code of Ordinances.
3) Case No. 92-04: Adele Schlusemeyer and Susan S. Morqan,

Zoninq, Section XII(0)(3), Villaqe Code of Ordinances.
Code Enforcement Officer Steve Kennedy (CEO) explained that
Case Nos. 92-05 through 92-11 were cited for illegal
advertisings regarding items which did not comply with the
Village Sign Codes. All came into compliance after each was
issued a Hearing Notice.

Case No. 92-02 was a citation for an overgrown lot which,
since Hearing Notice, has come into compliance. No further
problems are anticipated. Case No. 92-03 was a citation
reqarding the parking of a commercial vehicle in a residential
district, which came into compliance after Hearing Notice.
Case 92-04 was a citation regarding violation of the Health
and Sanitation Code, (i.e., large amounts of cardboard were
left in the parking lot for an extended period of time by a
merchant) which came into compliance after Hearing Notice.
The CEO recommended that the Board move to dismiss without
prejudice Case Nos. 92-02 through 92-11.
Boardmember Sharpless moved to dismiss without prejudice Case
Nos. 92-02 through 92-11. Boardmember Treacy seconded the
motion. The vote on the motion was:

the motion was therefore passed and adopted.
VI. PRESENTATION OF NEW CASES TO SET FOR HEARING
1) Case No. 92-12: Gunstin L. and Winnie F. Buonaiuto, 24
Country Club Circle, Tequesta. Violation of Chapter l0,
Article II, Health and Sanitation, Section 10-18(d),
Villaqe Code of Ordinances.
The CEO recommended that the Board set Case No. 92-12 for
hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 1992 at 7:30 p.m.

Boardmember Goldsbury moved that Case No. 92-12 be set for
hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. Vice Chairman
Brienza seconded the motion. The vote on the motion was:

Thomas Mortati - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
William Sharpless - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted.
VII. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
There was no unfinished business before the Board.
VIII. ANY OTHER MATTERS
A) Scott Ladd pointed out that very good results are being
achieved by the Code Enforcement Board as indicated by
so many cases coming into compliance before coming to
Hearing.
B) Vice Chairman Brienza asked about the status of County
Line Plaza regarding landscaping compliance. The CEO
explained that the only violation that County Line Plaza
was cited for was improper dumpster enclosure. The
enclosures are in the process of being completed. The
total of the fine has not yet been calculated but will
be researched and reported at the next meeting.
C) Boardmember Treacy asked regarding the status of the
Seigel property on Dover Road. The CEO explained that
the case is in the hands of the Village Attorney for
injunctive relief.

IX. ADJOURNMENT
Boardmember Treacy moved that the meeting be adjourned.
Boardmember Sharpless seconded the motion. The vote on the
motion was:

Thomas Mortati - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
William Sharpless - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted and the meetinq
was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
