ORDINANCE N0. 131
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
126 TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT OF VEHICLES
STOPPING AT RAILROAD CROSSINGS WITHIN THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 126 of the
Village of Tequesta, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read
as follows:
"Section 1. Every track motor car, hand car or other
vehicle so constructed as to be incapable of activating automatic
safety gates and automatic crossing signal devices operating upon
railroad tracks, shall yield the right of way at every railroad
crossing within the Village, where a Village street intersects
a railroad track at grade level, to traffic traveling along such
intersecting street and shall not proceed across such intersec-
tion until the movement can be made with reasonable safety."
Section 2. That except as hereinabove modified, said
Ordinance No. 126 shall remain as originally passed and adopted.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect imme-
diately upon passage and approval as provided by law.
