AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 5 TO PRO-
VIDE FOR ADDITIONAL PREREQUISITES TO THE
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY,
PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF,
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta,
duly adopted Ordinance No. 5, in and by which the Southern Standard
Building Code 1953-1954 Revision was adopted as the Building Code
of the Village; and
WHEREAS, Section 109 of said Southern Standard Building
Code provides certain prerequisites to the issuance of Certificates
of Occupancy; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it to the best interests
of the health and welfare of the Village to require certain additional
prerequisites to such Certificates of Occupancy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 109 of the Southern Standard
Building Code 1953-1954 Revision, as adopted by the Village Council
of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, under its Ordinance No. 5, be,
and the same is hereby, amended to require that no Certificate of
Occupancy shall be issued under said Section without compliance with
the following additional prerequisites, to-wit:
(a) That the applicant shall first have complied
with Ordinance No. 105 relating to the numbering of
houses and buildings within the Village, and shall
have placed a number on such house or building.

(b) That all trash and debris that has accumu-
lated during the construction of the building or
residence, or the improvement or alteration of such
building or residence, shall have been removed.
(c) That all trash and debris that has accumu-
lated aforesaid on adjacent property shall have been
removed, and any damage thereto repaired.
2. That violations of this Ordinance shall be penalized
in accordance with the provisions of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5
of the Village of Tequesta.
3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval as provided by law.
