RE: Annual Contribution for Maintaining VPT/LEX System
Fiscal Year 2015
Dear Chief Elg,
The FY 2015 agency user contribution of $1,00 for the use and maintenance of the Law Enforcement eXchange
(LEX) information sharing system from October 1, 2014 — September 30, 2015 is now payable.
Ongoing funding contributions from local law enforcement agencies and other involved agencies in Palm Beach
County are essential to the long-term sustainability of the LEX program. Project start-up costs have been largely
funded through CJC grants, the Board of County Commissioners (ISS), and contributions from the Sheriff's Office.
However, funding responsibility for the annual operating costs associated with the LEX system is now solely the
responsibility of the member agencies based on the annual contribution schedules approved by the LEX Executive
Commi.ttee in February 2008. A vote of the Committee this year again maintained the level of contribution as
originally established.
Your check should be made payable to: Palm Beach County Law Enforcement Exchane. Inc.
(EIN #32-0276271/ FL Non-Profit Corporation #N08000010521)
and sent to:
Colonel James Stormes
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office
