SUZANNE MERKT, Respondent RE: Violation of Chapter 14 Article V1 Section 14-152 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta. Address-: 75 Wi`Llow Road Tequesta, Florida 33469 Legal Description: RIDGEWOOD HOMES SEC 2 LT 63 PCN: 60-43-40- 10-06- 000 -0630- The Special Magistrate appointed by the Village Council to hear code compliance cases for the Village of Tequesta, in accordance with Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, has heard testimony -at the Code Compliance Hearing held -on the 22 °a flay Of January, 2015, -anti lamed -on the evidence and testimony presented, entered as Order Reducing Fine. The following Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order are hereby entered: EMINGS OF FACT 1-. The Respondent, 'S uzanne Merkt, was present at the hmring; there was a finding that proper notice was given. 2. The original Fine accrued to a total amount of Fifty Seven Thousand Dollars ($57,000.00 ). The Village also incurred administra costs in the amount of $52513 &OM bringing this case. 3. The Respondent appeared and presented testimony seeking reduction of the fine amount previously - assessed, and that she was scheduled to _close -on the sale of the property within the next 30 days. 4. The Village offered testimony that the property is in compliance, and that all necessary permits had been obtained. CONCLUSIONS OF LAW AND ORDER Page 1 of 2 It is the Order of the Village of Tequesta Special Magistrate that the request for a fine reduction is GRANTED The fine amount of $57,000.00 shall be reduced to $1,000.00. The Respondent shall also pay the Village's administrative costs in the amount $525.29. The reduced fine plus administrative costs shall be paid in full no later than February 21, 2015, or the original, full lien amount shall be reinstated. A certified copy of this Order may be recorded in the Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida, and, once recorded, shall constitute a lien against the property upon which the violation exits and upon any other real or personal property owned by the Respondent, pursuant to Chapter 162, Florida Statutes.
