The following council members are eligible to serve as a Canvassing Board Member: • Council Member Vince Arena • Council Member Steve Okun • Council Member Frank D'Ambra Should Council Members Brennan and Paterno remain unopposed, there will not be an election and the item is moot. However, if one of them remains unopposed, that Counci! Member would be eligible to serve on the canvassing board. Canvassing of an election is an important procedure following an election in which the canvassing board publicly canvasses the absentee electors' ballots and provisional ballots as provided by State Statute. Additionally, in the unlikely event of a contested electian, the canvassing board meets to publicly canvass all election ballots. This item is being placed on the agenda at this time, however, I will provide an update following the February 10, 2015 close of qualifying.
