ORDINANCE N0.604
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, DELETING
SECTION 14-151 VALUATION DATA TABLE, IN CHAPTER 14,
ARTICLE VI, PERMIT FEES OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
the valuation table is no longer relevant to the new fee structure; and
AS, the intent of this ordinance is to delete the Valuation Data Table from the

IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
~UESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
ction 1 -The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta hereby deletes Section 14-
1, Valuation Data Table in Chapter 14, Article VI, Permit Fees in its entirety; and
• ction 2 - Severability - If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof is
ld invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this
dinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and
this end, the provisions of the Ordinance are hereby declared serverable.
3 -Codification -This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of the
Code of Ordinances for the Village of Tequesta.
4 -Effective Date -This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage.

ARTICLE V. PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
Sec. 14-121. International Prope~Y Mainte-
nonce Code adopted.
The International Property Maintenance Code,
2000 edition, of which copies have been and are
now filed in the office of the building official of the
village, is hereby adopted and incorporated in
Appendix C, and from the date on which this
section shall take effect, the provisions therein
shall be controlling in the area of jurisdiction of
the village.

Sec. 14-151. Valuation data table.
The value of a dwelling unit. or proposed con-
struction shall be determined by a squaze foot
valuation as based on the Building Valuation
Data Table which is on file in the office of the
building official.

(d) There shall be a fee for each reinspection
-made due to condemnation '(red-tag or failed in-
spection) of work or work not ready at the time
specified in the application for inspection, or for
failure to call for final or .other inspection, as set
by resolution of the village council and set out in
Appendix C.

(a) On all plumbing work" requiring a permit
as set forth in the village plumbing code, fees
shall be paid to the building official as required at
the time of filing application in accordance with
the fee schedule established by resolution of the
village council and set out in Appendix C.
(b) On all irrigation sprinkler systems requir-
ing apermit as set forth in the village building
code, fees shall be paid to the building official as
required at the time of filing application in accor-
dance with subsection (a) of this section.
(c) On all mechanical equipment work requir-
ing apermit as set forth in the village bffiui ~ S
code, fees shall be paid to the building
required at the time of filing application in accor-
dance with subsection (a) of this section.
. (d) There shall be a fee as set by resolution of
the village council and set out in Appendix C for
each reinspection made due to condemnation (red-

at the time specified in the application for inspec-
tion, or for failure to call for final or other inspec-
tion.

(a) On all buildings, structures or alterations
requiring a building permit as set forth in the
village building code, a fee shall be paid to the
building official as required at the time of filing
application ~ reso ution oftthe village oeuncil

(b) Requests for refunds of permit fees paid
must be submitted to the department of commu-
nity development within 30 days of the date of
issuance of the permit. There shall be no refunds
of the plan submittal and review fee paid at the
time of application for permit.
(c) If a permit expires, renew ent ofethe lfull
permit shall require the paym
permit fee in effect at the time of renewal. Subject
to .the approval of the building official, one or
more, not to exceed four, requests for permit
extensions can be made prior to the expiration of
a permit. However, in no event shall extensions be

Sec. 14.154. Electrical permits.
(a) On all electrical work requiring a Permit as
set forth in the village electrical code, fees shall be
paid to .the building official at the time of filing
