III. STAFF ANALYSIS:
Per Sec. 22-53, the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board must review and approve any aesthetic modifications
to exterior building color or finish when not accompanied by any other site plan modification. The
proposed decorative architectural elements feature a symbol called a"Celtic knot". The Celtic knot symbol
is an integral component of the Applicant's brand and is featured on their monument sign (see photo next
page) as well as on their business and marketing documents.

Two (2) identical Celtic knots would be installed on the building front elevation on either side of central wall
sign. Celtic knots would be etched into Black Absolute Granite (Monticello Tile Design G7) then painted in
gold-leaf using Champagne Dreams (Benjamin Moore PT-240) and would be constructed by the
Owner/Builder. The Applicant has provided a samp►e of the gold-leaf paint color etched into black granite.

All construction, additions, and/or alterations within the Village, except in districts R-lA and R-1, must be
reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board. The Planning & Zoning Advisory Board meets the
third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m., as needed in the Village Hal1 Council Chambers, 345 Tequesta
Drive. The applicant will be informed by letter of their scheduled meeting date.
The Planning and Zoning Advisory Board shall have general authority as outlined in Sec. 22.53. Powers and
duties. After review and recommendation by the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board, applications will be
heard by the Village Council for final approval. After approval by the Village Council, a building permit can
be issued by the Building Department.

The applicant will submit to the Village of Tequesta Planning and Zoning Department the following
documents for Planning & Zoning Advisory Board review, forty-�ve (45) days prior to the meeting
date:
1) For new construction or additions, Fifteen (IS) IIxI7 sets and Three (3) full sets of
professionally prepared site plans showing all existing and proposed st�uctures, setbczcks,
parking cznd loading layout, ingress cznd egress, sidewalks and walkwczys, exteYior lighting layout,
difnensions of st�eet frontages cznd propeNty lines and all signage.
2) Fifteen (I S) IIx17 sets an�l Three (3) full sets of Landscaping Plans in accordance with Village
of Tequesta Code of Ordinances, Division IV, Landscaping.
3) Fifteen (IS) IIxl7 sets and Three (3) full sets of multi-dimensional colo� rendeNings and/or
photographs a�e to be provided. The Planning & Zoning Advisory Board needs to see czn exc�ct
rendering of what is to be placed on the site. ColoY photog�aphs or prints czs close to the actztccl
colors to be z�sed must be szcpplied. Since color printers often do not display the coYrect colo�; it
is recommended that samples of the paint chips, czs well as a sample of the szcpport materials (i.e.,
canvas, wood, metal, etc.) be provided.
4) One (l) CD disk with PDF files including cz complete application.
