TEQUEST.A, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A REVISED PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE AS
PROVIDED BY SEC. 14-152 OF TF� VII,LAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING THAT THIS SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES SHALL BE
AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ALL TIMES AT 'THE VII.LAGE HALL
DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS; PROVIDING FQR PUBLICATION OF
THIS SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES IN APPENDIX C. OF THE
VILI.AGE'S CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DAT'�;
AND FOR OTI�R PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of T�uesta, Florida, desires to adopt a
reviscd permit fee �hedule for all bwilding activities in the Village, including tho� associated with
the Village's floodplain manageme�rt ordinance, for �e citizeas of the Village of Teque.sta and for
other members of the public; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to incorporate all such fees and cl�rges adopted in
accordance with Section 141 S2 of the Code of Ordiaan�s into one comprehensive fee schedule;
and
WI�REAS, the Village Council desires to malce ceriain the schedule of fees and chaiges is
available for inspe�tion such that any membcr of the public may be aware of the c�st of land
development activity within the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VII.LAGE COUNCII, OF Tfi�
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COIJNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village Council of the Village af Tequ�a, Florida, hereby adopts the
revis� Schedule of Fees and Chazges attached hei+�ta as Exhibit A and. made pazC hereof as if fully
set forth herein.
Section 2: This duly adopted Sch�ule of Fees and Charges shall � avaiiable at the
Village Hall for ins�ction by the public during normal business }�urs, and shall fur�her be published
in Appendix C af the Village's Code of Ordin�ances.
Section 3; This Resolirtion shall take effect nnmediately upon adoption.
APPENDIX C • PERMIT FEES
{A) BUiLDING PERMIT FEES:
1. Application fee: .....575.00

2. Building permit applicants for new or replacement commercial buiidings, new or replacement multi-family
buildings and new or replacement duplexes shall pay a nonrefundable $3,000.00 fee at the time of filing for a
buiiding permit,
Building permit applicants for new or replacement conventional singie-family residence shall pay a non•refundable
�1,5d0.00 fee at the time of filing for a building permit.
8uilding permit appiicants for new or replacement modular homes shall pay a non•refundabie $750.00 fee at the
time of filing for a building permit.

3, Master permit fees shall be two percent of the valuation unless a a fixed fee is listed herein. "Valuation" shall be
based upon ail proiect m aterial costs whether furnished by the contractor or separatelv bv the owner, direct and
indirect labor costs, desiqn professional service costs, and reasonable profit•"Valuation" shall be considered the
greater denomination of either:
A.The notarized contract between the contractor and the owner of such property or building; or
B.The valuation method as determined by the International Building Code f IBC) Section 109.3.
Subcontractors working under a master permit shall be issued a no fee permit to complete their work if the
master permit issued inciuded their proposal, the nonrefundable application fee of $75.00 will be required.
Subcontractors applyinq for "stand alone" permits shall be required to provide the required construction
plans and documents. A non•refundable minimum application fee of $75.00 wiil be repuired.
4. Permit fees based upon valuation sha11 be collected to construct, eniarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change
the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, aitsr, repair, remove, convert or replace any
required impact•resistant coverings, electrical, gas, mechanical, o� plumbing system fire_�ruicctio sys terr,
accessible, o � fl resistant site element the instal(ation of which is rEgulated by the Florida Building Code and
Florida Fire Prevention Code, or to cause any such work to be done, shail first make application to the building official
and obtain the required ►�esessary permits.

7. WORK WITNOUT PERMIT
After the fact permit fees for work clone without benefit of a permit. Price for after the fact permits will be assessed to
each category, building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical� gas, and roofing at double the regular permit fee

3. Extensions shall be requested in writinq by the permit apR�icant and demonstrate iustifiable cause.
Archived plan retrieval fee $25.00 per request, copies priced per F.S. § 119.07(1)(a).
lf a permit expires, rene�val of the expired permit shail require the paymant of the fiill perrnit fee in effect at the time of
renewal, Subject to the approval of the building official, one or more, not to exceed four, requests for permit extensions
can be made prior to the expiration of a permit. However, in no event shall extensions be granted by the building official
on projects which have received variances special exceptions, and site plan reviews which have otherwise lapsed
pursuant to chapter 78.
9. INSPECTIONS
Re•inspection fees for rejection of work due to faulty construction, work not ready, failure to call for inspection, wrork
covered up, work not per plans, andlor no access (1ifts11adders) to jobsite:

10. REFUND POLICY
Requests for refunds of permit fees paid must be submitted Eo within 30 days af the date of issuance of the
permit. There shall be no refunds of the plan submittal and review fee paid at the time of application for
permit. There shall be no refunds once work has commenced. Eligible amounts will be refunded at 50%.
11. EMERGENCY WORK
Where equipment replacements and repairs must be performed in an emergency situation, the permit
application shall be submitted within the next working business day to the building official, without double
fee.
LB) FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT FEES
A Floodplain Development Permit (FDP) is required for all development proiects proposed within the limits of the floodplain.
Development activi�ies determined not to be in a floodplain are not assessed a fee. A completed floodplain application form
should be submitted alonq with a11 applicable supporting documentation to the Buildinq Department at Villaqe Hail. Ptease
check with the Floodplain Manaqer for a determination if a proposed development is within the communitv flood frinqe In order
for a permit application to be initiallv accepted for review the appropriate fees must first be submitted. Checks are to be made
payable to Villaqe of Tequesta Once the permit submittal is determined to be in compliance with the provisions of the Fiood
Damage Prevention Ordinance of the Villaqe of TeQUesta the application is approved for permittinq Phased proiects shall be
charqed separate fees for each phase requiring separate reviews. Fees collected are non-refundable.
1, Determination Fees;
• Initial Flood Zone Determination (no fee)
• Letter of Floodplain Map Determination for Insurance Purposes -$50.00
• Floodplain Determination Requiring Site Visit -$125.00
• Flood Elevation Certificate and Review -$100.00
2. Residential Permits:
• New Habitable structures — sinqle family de#ached dwellinqs room additions, pools -$250.00 ftat fee
• Accessory structures permit - Non Habitable sheds, aaraqes, decks pool houses, outdoor kitchens, fences -$75.00

• Substantial Improvement, or Substantial Repair -$250.00 flat fee
The Floodplain Manaqer will use the market value of the buildinq less land as determined by fhe tax o�ce. Should the
applicant disagree with this value a certified appraisal that uses the Cost Approach Method to determine the buildinq's
current value may be submitted. If the value of improvement is qreater than 50% of market value the proiect is a
substantial improvement by definition� requirinq the structure be elevated to the design flood elevation.
3. Non-Residential (Commercial) Permits:
• New Commercial structures -$350.00 plus $75.00 per hour or portion the_reof
• Substantial Improvement or Substantial Reaair— $350.00 plus $75.00 per hour or portion thereof
