MEETING MINUTES �
FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2015
Call to Order and Roll Call
The Village of Tequesta Historic Preservation Committee held a regularly scheduled
meeting at the Tequesta Village Hall, 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Fforida, on Friday,
March 6, 2015. The meeting was called to order at 10:05 a.m. by Recording Secretary
Betty Laur. Present were Dottie Campbell, Lee Resnik, and Bob Jacks. Also present
were Recording Secretary Betty Laur and Assistant to the Village Clerk Deanna Mayo.
1. Approval of minutes of January 17, 2014 meeting
MOTION: Board Member Campbell made a motion to approve the minutes of the
January 17, 2015 meeting as submitted. Board Member Jacks seconded the
motion, which carried unanimously 3-0.
2. Appointment of New Chair
MOTION: Board Member Jacks made a motion to appoint Lee Resnik as Chair.
Board Member Campbell seconded the motion, which carried unanimously 3-0.
3. Discussion of new Historic Committee Project: Interviews with
residents/vets to be recorded on audio or video and placed in the Village's
Historical archives
a. Create list of interview questions to ask
b. Compite list of residents/vets for the Committee to reach out to
interview
c. Assign specific Committee members with reaching out to specific
residents/vets
d. Set schedule to do the interviews
Board Member Campbell expressed her opinion that a new member should be on board
before starting the new interview project. She suggested contacting Jan Davisson, who
had done video work in the past. Board Member Jacks suggested contacting the
American Legion for a list of inembers, and to put a signup sheet there for members to
sign who were interested in being interviewed. Others suggested by Board Member
Campbell were Pat Grogan, Doctor Grogan's widow, and Betty Anderson on
Tradewinds, former Principal of the Elementary School. She suggested contacting
Muriel Sylvester to be a Committee member. She also suggested that if Jan Davisson
was unable to serve on the committee to contact her daughter, Kathy Greene. Another

suggestion was Harold Taylor, but he would not meet the requirement of full-time
resident.
Board Member Campbell requested letters be written to the residents suggested, asking
them if they would be willing to serve on the Committee, or if they knew anyone else
who might enjoy serving, and also if they had any memorabilia they would like to
donate. Other suggestions were to place ads in Smoke Signals, the Jupiter Courier and
in the Neighborhood Post. �
Consensus of the Committee was to delay discussion of the interview process until a
new member was on board.
4. Any Other Matters
There were no other matters to come before the Committee.
Adiournment: The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
