Business Alliance GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERSHIP - What is a locally owned independent business? 1. Private ownership and the owner is a Florida resident, 2. Controlled and owned in majority by local residents (those residing in, or within a 20 mile radius of, Tequesta, Jupiter, Juno Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and North Palm Beach) and its Corporate Identity was created by its owner, 3. Organized with full decision making power based with the local owner(s), and 4. Structured with no more than 6 locations and its main base of operation lies within Florida. There are five council members (Seats 2 and 4 elected in the odd years and Seats 1, 3 and 5 elected in the even years). According to the last Census, there are 5,803 residents, with 2,324 households with an average size of 2.44. The medium value of owner - occupied housing units from 2009 -2013 was $274,500 and the median income for the same period was $59,192. The Village is 2 square miles. Mission The Village of Tequesta's mission is to protect the health, safety and well -being of the community, provide exceptional, fiscally sound and efficient customer service, uphold the public interest and advance the community vision. Public Records: In accordance with Sec. 119.0701, Florida Statutes, the Contractor must keep and maintain this Agreement and any other records associated therewith and that are associated with the performance of the work described in the Scope of Services. Upon request, the Contractor must provide the public with access to such records in accordance with access and cost requirements of Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. Further, the Contractor shall ensure that any exempt or confidential records associated with this Agreement or associated with the performance of the work described in the Scope of Services are not disclosed except as authorized by law. Finally, the Contractor shall retain the records described in this paragraph throughout the performance of the work described in the Scope of Services, and at the conclusion of said work, transfer to the Town, at no cost to the Town, all such records in the possession of the Contractor and destroy any duplicates thereof. Records that are stored electronically must be transferred to the Town in a format that is compatible with the Town's information technology systems. I have attached our next round of marketing efforts this is for our think local the beaches small business initiative. The town of Jupiter is one of our members and we would love to have the village at quest as a member as well the membership fee for a nonprofit is $30 for the year. If you guys are interested I would love to put your logo on with the town of Jupiter and distribute these posters to our members for November which a small business month. Citizen Memberships can be purchased at Oceana Coffee Shops (221 Old Dixie Hwy, Tequesta) and (4885 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens - inside the Borland Center).
