Bradford, Village Manager9 Date: July 18, 1996 Subject: Presentation of Proclamations of Appreciation to . Marvin Brown, Meta O'Connell aad Carl Roderick Upon Their Retireaent; Agenda Item As you know, both Marvin Brown and Carl Roderick accepted the terms of the Village's Early Retirement Incentive Program. In addition, Meta O'Connell, Accounting Clerk III, just recently announced her retirement and intention to relocate to Utah. With the Village Council approval of the ERIP at your June 13 Meeting, there was never time to formally recognize the achievements and contributions of Messrs. Brown and Roderick. It is only fitting that we do so, along with Ms, O'Connell. I mean it with all sincerity when I say that I cannot think of any finer employees than Messrs. Brown and Roderick and Ms. O'Connell. These persons had excellent attendance records and performed their duties in such a fashion that the absence of prokilems associated with their functions became second nature. The employees of the Village realize the significance of these persons' departure. The Village Council, as representatives of the citizens of Tequesta, who often times are btsy with their careers,. raising a family, or enjoying their retirement, may not know who it is that actually makes this community work properly on a daily basis. It is precisely people like Marvin Brown, Meta O Connell and Carl Roderick that make it work. Please make the presentation to these individuals memorable for them and their families, as they are surely deserving of the same. TGB/krb
