RESOLUTION NO. 8-10
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF THE
VILLAGE'S COUNCIL CHAMBERS BY VlLLAGE NON-PROFET
ORGANIZATIONS AND RESIDENTS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to provide for the use ot the Village
Councii Chambers by Viilage residents and non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Viliage Councii desires to allow such use at no charge
during the normal business hours of Viilage Hali, and at the cost of 525.00 per
hour outside of the normal business hours of Village Hall in order to reimburse
the Viliage for electricity costs, janitorial fees and other maintenance costs
associated with such afterhour�s use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL 4F THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PAI.M BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Sec�on 1: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta hereby agrees to
allow Yiliage residents and Village based non-profit organizations (501c3 or
similar) the opportunity to use the Village Council Chambers during normal
business hours at no cost, when available a�d upon proper reservation.
Section 2: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta hereby agrees to
allow Village reaidents and Village based non-profit organizations (501c3 or
similar) the opportunity to use the Village Councii Chambers at a cost of $25.00
per hour outside of �e normal business hours of Viilage Hall in order to
reimburse the Village for electriciiy costs, janitorial fees and other maintenance
costs associated with such afterhours use.
Section 3: The normai business hours of Village Hall a�e set as 8:00 a.m.
— 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Section 4: This Resolution shsil become ef�ective immediafiely upon
passage.

8. Request Council Approval of an Agreement Between Gentile Holloway O'Mahoney
and the Village of Tequssta for Professional Landscape Architectural Services for
the Tequesta Bridge In the Amount of $2,800.00
M4TION: Council Member Tumquest moved approva/ of /tem 8; seconded by Council
Member Humpage; motion canied unanimously 5-4.
9. Resolution 8-10. Providing for the Usage and Rental of the ViUage's Councii Chambers
to Village Residents and Village Non-profit Organizations
Council suggested HOA's and not for-profit organizations continue to use the Parks and
Recreation Department faci)ities.
MOTIC?N: Vice-Mayor Patemo moved to deny Reso/ution 8-10; seconded by Council
Member Humpage; motion to deny ca►ried unanimously 5-0.
10. Resolution 10-10. Approving the Transfer of $300,000 from Capital Improvement Fund
#301 to the General Fund #001 and Reducing Appropriated Fund Batance in the Generai
Fund by $300,000
Councit agreed to leave the funds in the Capital Impravement Fund.
MOTION: Vice-Mayar Patemo moved to withdraw Reso/ution 90-10; seconded by Council
Member Humpage; motion to withdraw carried unanimous/y 5-0.
STANDING REPORTS
• Villas�e Attornev
Attomey Whi�e congratulated Council Member Tumquest on his at large seat nomination
to the Palm Seach County League of Cities Board of Directors. She stated the County
� took action to place the Fire Rescue Surtax on their referendum ballot for August and
believes it would not be in #he best interest of the Village. She updated Council on
Aventura's red light camera issue and noted a judge found their ordinance
unconstitutional and it was now under appeal.
• Yilla�e Manas�er
Commented on the Police Chief's impending six-month departure and allowed the Chief
to express some departing remarks. Police Chief McCollom appreciated the accolades
and stated it was a pleasure to work with Mr. Couzzo. He comme�ted he would be
avaiiable via email and cell phone if needed. He complimented Russell White on the
work he has been providing on the bridge and the money his work was saving the
