VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
VILLAGE MANAGER'S CONFERENCE ROOM
FRIDAY MAY 16, 2008
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pat Watkins at 5:34 p.m. A roll call was taken by
Village Clerk Lori McWilliams. Present were: Mayor Pat Watkins, Vice Mayor Calvin
Turnquest, Council Member Arena, AND Council Member Humpage. Council Member
Paterno was absent. Also in attendance were: Manager Michael R. Couzzo, Jr., Village
Attorney White, Village Clerk Lori McWilliams, Human Resources Manager Reid, Police Chief
McCollom, Officer's Turner, Smollen, Velez, Cooper Pitocchelli, Lt. Pike and Detective
Weinblat.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Mayor Watkins suggested addressing item 2 prior to item 1 to allow for the officers to attend.
MOTION: Council Member Humpage moved approval of the agenda as amended;
seconded by Council Member Arena; motion carried unanimously 4-0.
New Business
2. Resolution 26-08, Council Approval of Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between
Palm Beach County and the Village of Tequesta to have Common Power to Perform
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships
Program (HOME) Activities within the County
Mayor Watkins read the Resolution Title into the Record
MOTION; Counci! Member Humpage moved approval of Resolution 26-08; seconded by
Vice-Mayor Turnquest; motion carried unanimously 4-0.
1. Resolution 25-08, Council Ratification of the PBA Contract for the One-Year Period
2007/2008 and authorizing the Village Manager to execute the contract on behalf of the
Village (backup previously distributed)
Mayor Watkins read the Resolution Title into the Record
MOTION: Council Member Humpage moved approval of Resolution 25-08; seconded by
Vice-Mayor Turnquest; motion carried unanimously 4-0.
Chief McCollom thanked Council for their unanimous vote and assistance with the police
salaries. Mayor Watkins thanked the officers for their dedication to our residents.
ANY OTHER MATTERS
Council Member Arena stated the Village did not need to hold the previously requested
workshop on the free land acquisition at this time. He requested a workshop to discuss the
water rates prior to the June Council meeting and Consensus of Council agreed.

ADJOURNMENT
MOTION: Council Member Humpage moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:42 p.m.; seconded
by Council Member Arena, motion carried unanimously 4-0.
