SUBJECT: Appointment of Voting Delegate for the Florida League of Cities
Each year Council appoints a voting delegate to cast votes at the Annual Business
Session. League By-Laws require that each municipality select one person to serve as
the municipalities voting delegate.

As yotz 1.no�v, the Florida Lea��le oF Cities' Annual Gonferencc ��vill be ]leld at the
Diplomat Resort, I�olly�vood, Florida on flt�gust 18-20. The theme for this year's
conference is Floridcr Cities: United & Sti°oi�g, tivhich will provide valuable educational
opportLinities to help Florida's municipal offici�zls serve their citizent�y nlore effectivelv.
It is important that each rnunicipality ciesianate one ofticial to be the voting delegate.
Eleciion of League leadership atld �doptiou of resolutions are utlderta!<en during the
btisiness meeting. One ofiicial fr•om each iilunicipality will make ciecisions tl�at deteranine
the clirection of the League.
In accordance tivith the League's by-laws, each inunicipaliry's vote is detertnined by
population, and the League will use the 1=,stimates of Population from the IJiiiv�;rsity of
Tlorida for 2015.
Conference registration materials will be sent to each municipality in the inonth of June.
Materials �vill also be posted on-line. Call us if you need additional copies.

It is important that each member municipality sending delegates to the Annual
Conference of the Florida League of Cities, designate one of their officials to cast their
votes at the Annual Business Session. League By-Laws requires that each municipality
select one person to serve as the municipaiities voting delegate. Municipalities do not
need to adopt a resolution to designate a voting delegate.
Please fill out this form and return it to the League office so that your voting delegate
may be properly identified.
