Review of Committee Mission and Goals Village Clerk McWilliams welcomed the new committee members and alternate members, and stated that she looked forward to working with the new committee. She recalled the prior historic committee and shared that Mrs. Dottie Campbell, a former Mayor of Tequesta, had created the many plaques that now adorn the Village Council Chambers. Clerk McWilliams further revealed that many of the Village artifacts were currently being stored at the public works building, down the street. Mr. Kevin Cassidy, Alternate Historic Committee Member, suggested the group create a flyer that could be distributed to Village residents and would give them some insight on Tequesta's rich past. Clerk McWilliams shared with the group that the budget for the Historic Committee was $2500 per year. She also informed the members that they should be guided by whatever the Committee felt was of historic significance. She advised that they keep in mind the fact that people 50 years from now would be reviewing their contributions.
