During this time he was enrolled in the VOT General employees pension fund. In March 2006, David Cooper was hired by the Police Department as an Officer-Trainee. The Village of Tequesta paid for David to enter and complete a Police Officer program from March 2006 thru August 2006 making him a certified Police Officer. Human Resources enrolled David into the VOT Public Safety employees pension fund in March 2006 and then retracted the enrollment in April 2006, stating that David could not enter the VOT Public Safety employees pension fund until he completed the police training and was • a certified police officer. David Cooper was re-enrolled in the VOT General employees pension fund and remained in this retirement fund until he became a certified police officer in August 2006. Contributions were made to the VOT Public Safety employees pension fund in error in the amount of $407.88. These contributions should have been made to the VOT General employees pension fund. In order to correct this, the Public Safety employees pension funds needs to reimburse the General employees pension fund $407.88. Note: David Cooper's contributions have already been reimbursed to him from the General employees pension fund and no more is due to Mr. Cooper. •
