The estimate is 2.7billion over 10 years for infrastructure projects with $645 million going to the cities — with a citizens committee overseeing the spending. The Village is looking for the total cost of.projects that will be needed. over the next .10 years. Below are some examples of requests by cities, printed in the Sun Sentinel; "Delray Beach would get between $38million and $45 million. The city's major items include $4.6 million for a fire station/training center on Linton Boulevard, $18million for street, sidewalk and alley upgrades and $3 million for higher seawalls to respond to rising seas, Boynton Beach would get$43 million to $51 million . The city's main priority is a$28 million poJice station. The current facility was too small and outdated 10 years ago. Other big chunks woufd go to street repair and park improvements." . . • . .. _,._ .,:J:, ' The Village:of Tequesta needs to have a list together of repairs and improvements that. spans 10 years, a ex lanation ofth r e eason an p d an estimate of the total cost. If you are aware of any such needs, please forward to the Village Manager. (copy me) today. The Manaer is lookin for the total costs with a short explanation. As an example: Purchase of Paradise Park ($SSS), "this park is currentiv bein leased and the propertv is currentiv for sale the loss of this park to the residents............" If this surtax passes,. it will be very important that the Village of Tequesta does not out on the opportunity to make v.ery necessa.ry improvements and repairs to the Village. So please get this information.into the Manage. r today! This is how it appears.on the November 8th ballot: "To enhance 3education by improving district owned school buildings, equipment, technology and security, purchase school buses, public safety vehicles and equipment and equip, construct and repair roads, bridges, signals, streetlights, sidewalks, parks, drainage, shoreline and wastewater infrastructure, recreational and governmental facilities, shall the county levy a one-cent surtax beginning January 1, 2017 and automatically ending on or before Decernber 31, 2026 with independent oversight by citizen committees?" As many of you are aware, there is a Countywide Question regarding the levy of'a'one=cent`su`'rtax on the November 8tn ballot. The estimate is 2.7billion over 10 years for infrastructure projects with $645 million going to the cities — with a citizens committee overseeing the spending. TheVillage is looking for the total cost of projects that will be needed.over the next 10 years. Below are some examples of requests by cities, printed in the Sun Sentinel; .'`Delray Beach would get between $38million and $45 million. The city's major items include $4.6 million for a fire station/training.center on Linton Boulevard, $18million for street, sidewalk and alley upgradesand$3 millibn forliigher seawalls to. respond to rising seas. Boynton Beach would get $43 million to $51 million . The city's main priority is a$28 million pofice station. The current facility was too small and outdated 10 years ago. Other big chunks would go to street repair and park improvements." The Village of Tequesta needs to have a list together of.repairs and improvements that spans 10 years, a.brief. explanation of the reason and an estimate of the total cost. tf you are aware of any such needs, please forward to the Village Manager. (copy me) today. The Manaer is lookin for the total costs with a short explanation. As an example: Purchase of Paradise Park ($SSS), "this park is currentiv bein leased and the propertv is currentiv for.sale the loss of . this park to the residents............" If this surtax passes, it will be very important that the Village of Tequesta does not miss out on the opportunity to make v.ery necessary improvements and repairs to the Village. So please get this information into the Manager today! This is how it appears on the November 8t ballot: "To enhance 3education by improving district owned school buildings, equipment, technology and security, purchase school buses, public safety vehicles and equipment and equip, construct and repair.roads, bridges, signals, streetlights, sidewalks, parks, drainage, shoreline and wastewater infrastructure, recreational and governmental facilities, shall the county levy a one-cent surtax beginning January 1, 2017 and aufomatically ending on or before December 31, 2026 with independent oversight by citizen committees?"
