As discussed with the Mayor, the Palm Beach MPO and TCRPC are working collaboratively with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to assist with a"Road Diet" Workshop, which is scheduled to be held in Tequesta on Friday, February 3, 2017. The Mayor indicated she'd confirmed the availability of the village chambers for the workshop and asked that I contact you directly to work through details. Given the recent progress on the Tequesta/US1 road diet and reconfiguration, FHWA felt that hosting the workshop in Tequesta would make for an excellent case study for the State of Florida. The event will run from 8 AM until 4 PM, with the formal workshop beginning around 9 AM. Roughly 75 participants would be expected to attend. The morning session would include presentations in the Council Chambers, followed by a bus tour of the corridor, lunch, and a return to Village Hall for debriefing in the early afternoon. TCRPC has volunteered to sponsor a continental breakfast, and Mayor Brennan has been working with a local restaurant for a potential lunch (self-paid) on the corridor. Box lunches back at Village Hall would be the alternative if an off-site location cannot be secured. Registration link to the event is located here: http://www.techtransfer.ce.ufl.edu/assnfe/ev.asp?MODE=&ID=4984 Please advise if there might be a good time to discuss the details. It should be a well-attended event and great opportunity to showcase the Village of Tequesta and Palm Beach County. Many thanks! -- Kim. KIM DELANEY, PH.D.
