Dear Madam/Sir:
I am re-opening a coffee shop at the address referenced above under the name of Perk Coffee House. The business
wishes to obtain a"2COP" license to sell beer and wine for on-prernises consumption. In order to obtain a 2COP
license, Perk Coffee House must first obtain a variance from Village of Tequesta Code Section 78-298; which
precludes the sale of intoxicating beverages for on-premises consumption at an establishment located within 1000
feet of any church, school or youth center. The Perk Coffee House establishment is within 1000 feet of the Church
of the Good Shepherd/Good Shepherd Episcopal School (590 ft.). Perk Coffee House has submitted a variance
application to the Village of Tequesta to operate a competitive and viable business in Tequesta, amongst other
establishments selling beer and wine, including those that have obtained the variance requested herein. The
requested variance will comply with the general intent and purpose of the ordinance.
The Perk Coffee House wishes to have the concurrence of the Good Shepherd/Good Shepherd Episcopal School in
our business obtaining the requested variance in order to obtain the 2COP beer/wine license. If the Good
Shepherd/Good Shepherd Episcopal School has no objection to the granting of the requested variance, please sign
in the space indicated below and return this letter to the Perk Coffee House in the self-addressed stamped
envelope.
Thank you for your anticipated support of our local new business enterprise and please contact me with any
