STAFF REVIEW The Blowing Rock Condominium is located at 1500 Beach Road in the R-3 Multiple Family Dwelling District. The subject application includes the following site plan modifications and aesthetic improvements: • Replace the existing asphalt driveway and carports with pavers; • remove overhead electrical power poles; • install underground lines and a screened transformer; • replace existing CBS retaining wall with stones; • replace concrete walkways with pavers; and, • improve landscaping. The proposed improvements do not increase the square footage of the existing condominium units. The applicant provided a site plan which highlights proposed modifications, please see attached application. 4. FINAL REMARKS This development application met the requirements set on Section 78-334 notice of hearing. The notice of hearing will be advertised on lanuary 29, 2017. The subject application was heard by the Planning and Zoning Board at the December 15, 2016 meeting, and it was recommended for approval with a 5-0 vote.
