HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Planning and Zoning_12/15/2016 MINUTES VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA PLANNING AND ZONING � BOARD MEETING �' DECEMBER 15, 2016 CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Board Chair Janet Strand. A roll call was taken by Community Development Planner, Lance Lilly. Present were: Board Member Elizabeth Schauer, Board Member Steve Eagen, Alternate Member Leslee Dasher and Alternate Member Theresa Maggio. Absent were Vice-Chair Michaei Schmidt and Board Member Ashley Warren. Also present were Village Attorney Keith Davis, Village Attorney Amity Barnard and Community Development Director Nilsa Zacarias. APPROVALOFAGENDA MOTION: Board Member Elizabeth Schauer approval of the agenda; seconded by Board Member Steve Eagen; motion carried unanimously 5-0. 1. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes —November 17, 2016 MOTION: Board Member Elizabeth Schauer moved approval of minutes; seconded by Alternate Committee Member Leslee Dasher; motion carried unanimously 5-0. 2. SPM 14-16: Application from Blowing Rock Condominium Association for a site plan modification to replace the existing asphalt driveway and carports with pavers; remove overhead electrical power poles; install underground lines and a screened transformer. The application also includes replacing CBS retaining wall with stones and concrete walkways with pavers; and, landscape improvements. The address of the property was 1500 Beach Road, Tequesta, FL 33469. Attorney Barnard announced the next item was quasi-judicial and swore in one person involved with the application. She then asked the Board for any ex-parte communications. There were none. Terri Futch, President of Blowing Rock Condominium Association, explained that her Association was requesting permission to replace an asphalt driveway, bury power lines that had been a danger in the past, replace old landscaping, add pavers, and replace an existing deteriorating concrete-block retaining wall. STAFF COMMENTS Nilsa Zacarias wanted to clarify that the application would continue to Council for review at the February, 2017 Regular Council Meeting. �. - Minutes —Planning and Zoning 12/15/16 Page 2 BOARD COMMENTS Board Member Elizabeth Schauer asked the applicant if she was aware of the additional expense affiliated with replacing concrete with pavers. Ms. Futch stated that she was aware of the added expense as the condominium already had pavers in the pool area. PUBLIC COMMENTS: There were none. MOTION: Board Member Elizabeth Schauer moved approval of SPM 14-16; seconded by Board Member Leslee Dasher; motion carried unanimously 5-0. � ADJOURNMENT: Board Member Elizabeth Schauer moved to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Board Member Steve Eagen; The motion to adjourn carried unanimously 5-0; therefore, the meeting was adjourned at 5:36 P.M.
