Subject: Law Enforcement Trust Fund Expenditure
Presented for your consideration and action is this request to purchase two (2) MTB 19" Eagle
Patriot bicycles and accessories. The Tequesta Police Department's Bike Patrol would utilize
these bicycles for special details and other events. An opportunity has arisen to purchase these
bicycles and accessories for$2,326.00 through Tri Bike Run.
The Law Enforcement Trust Fund has adequate funds to cover the purchase of these items, and
would be in compliance as an acceptable expenditure of asset forfeiture funds.

RESOLUTION NO 31-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF $2,326.00 FROM THE SPECIAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND TO BE USED TO PURCHASE TWO
MTB 19" EAGLE PATRIOT BIKES TO IMPLEMENTED FOR BIKE
PATROL AND SPECIAL EVENTS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, an opportunity has recently arisen for the Village's Police Department to
purchase for $2,326.00 two (2) new MTB 19" Eagle Patriot bicycles and accessories
valued at approximately $4,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has determined and verified that the Village's Law
Enforcement Trust Fund has adequate funds to cover the purchase of these items and that
use of the Village's Law Enforcement Trust Fund assets to pay for the bicycles and
accessories is permissible and appropriate, and in compliance with the provisions of U.S.
Department of Treasury Guide to Equitable Sharing; and;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta hereby adopts this
Resolution and thereby approves and authorizes the use of $2,326.00 from the Special
Law Enforcement Trust Fund#605 to be used to purchase two(2) MTB 19" Eagle Patriot
bicycles and accessories;
Section 2 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage;
