Due to a typographical error in the 2"d Whereas Clause of the Resolution, 1 am attaching an amended Resolution for your
approval at tonight's Council Meeting.
The Where Clause should read "residential units was 3,157" rather than "residential units was 3,457".

RESOLUTION N0.62-06/07
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING AND
INCREASING THE 2006/2007 REFUSE & RECYCLING FUND #402 BUDGET
BY INCREASING REVENUES IN ACCOUNT # 402-000-343.400, REFUSE AND
RECYCLING FEES IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,035; APPROPRIATING FUND
BALANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,660 AND INCREASING THE FOLLOWING
EXPENDITURES:
#402-245-543.302, SOLID WASTE RESIDENTIAL $11,935
#402-245-543.303, RECYCLING RESIDENTIAL $9,000
#402-245-543.304, YARD WASTE RESIDENTIAL $4,760
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta approved the original budget for the Refuse and
Recycling Fund #402 based upon 2,868 residential units for curbside pick-up with an
annual tax assessment of $95.88 per unit; and
WHEREAS, The actual number of residential units was 3,157 with an annual tax
assessment of $93.55 according to the 2007 certified tax roll; and
WHEREAS, approving this resolution will increase the overall Refuse and Recycling
fund #402 2006/2007 Budget by $25,695; and
WHEREAS, approving this resolution will result in appropriating fund balance in the
amount of $11,660 in 2006/2007 Budget, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM
BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The amendment to the 2006/2007 Refuse and Recycling Fund #402 budget
increasing the overall 2006-2007 Budget by $25,695 and appropriating fund balance in the
amount of $11,660 is hereby approved.
The foregoing Resolution was offered by
its adoption. The motion was seconded by _

RE: REQUEST TO INCREASE THE 2006-2007 REFUSE AND RECYCLING FUND
#402 BUDGET
As we discussed, the original budget for the Refuse and Recycling Fund #402 was based on
1. 2,868 residential units
2. $95.88 annual tax assessment
The actual number of units and tax rate per the fina12007 certified tax roll is:
1. 3,157 residential units
2. $93.55 annual tax assessment
In order to bring the 2007 Refuse and Recycling Fund #402 budget in line with the tax roll and to more
accurately reflect the Village's expected revenues and expenses for that period I am requesting;
1. That the overall Refuse and Recycling budget be increased by $25,695 in the following manner;
a. Increase revenue and rrycling fees by $14,035
b. Appropriate fund balance of $11,660
c. Increasing expenses for curbside pick-up by $25,695
