APPROVALS: DEPARTMENT HEAD:JoAnn Forsythe FINANCE DIRECTOR: VILLAGE MANAGER: ~"v`""~-~`~~-- VILLAGE MANAGER RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE ITEM: ^ DENY ITEM: ^ VILLAGE ATTORNEY: APPROVED FOR LEGAL SUFFICIENCY ^ Yes X No ^ Not Applicable (n/a) -, RESOLUTION NO. 63-06/07 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROPRIATING $136,788.88 FROM UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN GENERAL FUND #001, INCREASING THE 2006/2007 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, ACCOUNT POLICE PATROL -MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT # 001- 175-664.600 BY $136,788.88 AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROCEED ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta Police Department received revenue in the prior year ending September 30, 2006 in the amount of $136,788.88 for the financing of the Police Department 800mhz Communications System; and WHEREAS, the funds received from the financing above were not spent in fiscal year ending September 30, 2006, and WHEREAS, the Police Department purchased the radio system in the subsequent year, thereby spending the funds in the year ending September 30, 2007; and WHEREAS, this purchase was not budgeted and requires appropriating these funds into the current 2006-2007 budget; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: A Resolution increasing the budgeted amount in Account # 001-175- 664.600 for Budget Year 2006/2007 by $136,788.88 and appropriating Fund Balance for that amount, is hereby approved and the Village Manager of the Village of Tequesta is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the Village. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Council Member who moved its adoption.
