OBJECTIVF,: This policy supersedes and amends Administrative Poticy No. 1 — 90/91, adopted 1Vovember 1, 1990. To establish clear regulations and written procedures for the processing of applications for the abandonment of dedicated public property within the Village of Tequesta. RESP4NS16ILI1'Y: The Dixector of Community DevelopmenE shall be responsible for the administraEion of Ehis Procedure. The Village Attorney shall , be responsible for the legal acivertising of the Public Hearing, the preparation of the appropriate Resolution for the Village Council and necessary follow-up based on CounciL action as set forth in Ehe Procedures. The Vilfage Clerk shall be responsible for providing a copy of the Resofution lo the appropriate officials as set forth in the f'roceciures. The Director of Finance shall be responsible for proper handling of aII fees. PROCEUURE: I. In itiation A. Meeting before formal filing of application with Department of Public Wocks, Department of Community Development and others, as necessary,to answer questions and/or identify are�s of concern. B. Letter of application to the Director of Comrnunity Development by applicant(s) or authocized representative (Power of Attorney required, if repi�esentative), which includes the following: l. Jus#ification for Alley Abandonment: Over the last few years, the applicant has diligentIy researched the housing market in tlze Village of Tequesta, and has determined that the current market trends are ripe ta offer a well-designecf mixed use product that provides a modest approach to growth zn the area.
