WHEREAS,water is a basic and essential need of every living creature;anci
WHEREAS,The State of Florida,Water Management Districts and Tlte Village of
Tequesta are workin�together to increase awareness about the importance of water
conservation;and
WHEREAS,the Florida Section of the A�nerican Water Works Association,has
designated April,typically a dry month when water demands are most�cute,Florida's
Water Consei•vation Month,to educate citizens about how they can help save Flori��a's
precious water resources;and
WHEREAS,The Village of Tequesta has always encouraged and supported water
conservation,through various educational programs and special events;and
WHEREAS,evei•y business,industry,school and citizen can make a difference��hen it
comes to conserving water;and
WHEREAS,every business,indush•��,school and citizen can help by saving water and
thus promote a healtlly economy and community;and
NOW,THEREFORE,be it resol��ed that by virtue of the authority vested in me as
Mayor of the Village of Tequesta,I hereby support the Florida Section of the American
Water Works Association in proclaiming April 2018 as
Water Conservation Month
in the State of Florida.The Village of Tequesta is calling upon each citizen and busi�tess
to help protect our precious resource by practicing water saving measures and
becoming more aware of the need to save water.
