A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, CERTIFYING THE
RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD ON
MARCH 13, 2018 FOR THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA
COUNCIL;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the regular election for three Village Council seats for the Village of
Tequesta was held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office has
presented to the Village of Tequesta the certified results of said election and they have
made their canvass of ballots as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council assembled together on the 12t'' day of April, 2018
during a Regular Council Meeting to certify the election results.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA
Section 1. Upon canvas of the election returns as presented by the Supervisor
of Elections and as certified by the Village C1erk, the Viflage Council hereby declares
and certifies that electors cast their ballots as follows:
A. Seat 1: (two year term)
Vince Arena, having run unopposed, is hereby declared elected to said
office.
B. Seat 3: (two year term)
Laurie Brandon 342 votes 55.97%
Steve Okun 269 votes 44.03%
Laurie Brandon having received the highest number ofvotes cast is hereby
declared elected to said ofFce.
C. Seat 5: (two year term)
Frank D'Ambra III 257 votes 41.92 %
Kristi Johnson 356 votes 58.08 %
Kristi Johnson having received the highest number of votes cast is hereby
declared elected to said office.
Section 2. The foregoing tabulation of the votes cast is hereby certified as the
results of the regular election.
Section 3. The Village Clerlc is directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution
to the Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County, and to post a copy for public notice.
Section 4. This Resolution will take effect immediately upon adoption.
