Ref.: 2017-2018 Fiscal Year Budget—Increase Revenue and Expenditure
Due to the improved economy, Community Development is processing a larger number of development
applications than anticipated which generated additional revenues and related contractual labor
expenditure.
The Development Review Committee (DRC) that reviews major development applications includes
professional consultants such as traffic and civil engineering, landscape architect, land surveyor and
other professionals according to the project. The major development projects that the Department is
processing this fiscal year are as follows:
- Blowing Rocks Residential Building- UNDER REVIEW
- Pelican Square Mixed Use Building- UNDER REVIEW
Please see the attached proposed Resolution to amend the Department 2017-2018 Fiscal Year Budget
in the amount of$50,000. Please let me know should you have comments or questions.

RESOLUTION NO. 29-18
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, INCREASING REVENUES AND
EXPENDITURES IN THE GENERAL FUND #001 2017/2018 BUDGET IN
THE AMOUNT OF $50,000.00 RECOGNIZING ADDITIONAL LAND
DEVELOPMENT REVENUES AS WELL AS RECOGNIZING RELATED
CONTRACTUAL LABOR AND LEGAL EXPENDITURES AND
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROCEED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE VILLAGE'S ADOPTED PROCEDURES;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village collects land development fees as specified in the attached
"Exhibit A-Land Development Fee Schedule"; and,
WHEREAS, the Village is anticipating to incur additional contractual labor expenditures
relating to land development in Fiscal Year 2018; and,
WHEREAS, the Village will collect additional fees from the applicants to cover these
contractual labor expenditures in Fiscal Year 2018;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 Resolution No. 29-18 is hereby approved increasing revenues and
expenditures in the General Fund #001 2017/2018 Budget in the amount of$50,000.00
recognizing additional land development revenues as well as recognizing related
contractual labor and legal expenditures.
Section 2 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
