HomeMy WebLinkAboutDocumentation_Special Meeting_Tab 15_12/08/2005RESOLUTION NO. 36-05/06 • A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A", ENGINEERING SERVICES WORK AUTHORIZATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF 26,000.00 TO ARCADIS, RMA, BUDGETED IN THE STORMWATER UTILITY FUND #403, ACCOUNT #403-320-662.632, ARCHITECT & ENGINEERING, OTHER, WITH A 2005/2006 BUDGET OF $30,000.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPLICABLE WORK AUTHORIZATION ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Consideration to execute work authorizations in the total amount of $26,000.00, with funds budgeted in the Stormwater Utility Fund • #403 2005/2006 budget, Account # 403-320-662.632, Architect & Engineering, Other; and with the engineering services work authorization attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference as a part of this Resolution is hereby approved and the Village Manager of the Village of Tequesta is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the Village. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION • • The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 8th day of December, A.D, 2005. All terms and conditions of said agreement shall be applicable to this work authorization. SCOPE The Engineer understands this authorization to cover engineering services related to the design, permitting, bidding and construction of the South Cypress Drive Improvements from Tequesta Drive to the Tequesta corporate limits. The improvements, shall consists of the following: • Replacement of the existing 4-inch water main. • Road construction (drainage, curbing, asphalt and striping). • • Street light conduit/pull boxes. . • Coordinate with adjacent businesses. The work will be as set forth in the Agreement Section 2.1, paragraphs 2.1.2 through 2.1.7, inclusive, including partial resident inspection services (during critical components). COMPENSATION For work performed according to paragraph 2.1.2 through 2.1.5 of the Agreement (design, permitting, bidding) the Consultant shall be paid a lump sum fee of twenty six thousand dollars ($26,000.00). For work performed according to paragraphs 2.1.6 through 2.1.7 of the Agreement (services during construction) the Consultant shall be paid a lump sum fee of twenty two thousand five hundred dollars ($22,500.00). Note that this fee assumes that the R4 raw water main extension will be occurring at the same time as this construction. TIME OF PERFORMANCE The Consultant will complete the design and have the project ready for bid and permitting within 90 days of receipt of this work authorization, fully executed. • 1 of 2 • ACCEPTED BY: ARCADIS G&M, Inc. ~~~' William D.
