• Letter to David Brown, Director of Utilities, Town of
Jupiter, Regarding North Jupiter Consumption Data.
• Letter to Richard C. Dent, Executive Director, ENCON,
Regarding Proposed Sewering of Tequesta Peninsula; Tequesta
Preconstruction Requirements.

• A Staff Meeting was Conducted at 10:00 a.m. on September 29t''
wherein the following items were discussed:
1. The Water System Manager was requested to report on the
status of the demolition of the water storage tank at
Village Hall.
2. The Water System Manager was requested to report on the
status of rate review by rate analyst.
3. The Water System Manager was requested to report on
status of written plan for Reverse Osmosis Plant
operations.
4. The Chief of Police was questioned as to Police Officer
Designee for Pension Board.
5. All Department Heads were requested to drop America
Online subscriptions in light of recent access to
Internet via Adelphia.
6. The Water System Manager reminded to bring forward
answers to contracting issues relative to
reorganization.
7. The Director of Public Works was directed to contact
the president of Tequesta Pines advising of sidewalk
extension.
8. All departments were asked their opinion relative to
continuation with Shell Oil Company Fleet Program.
9. All departments were advised of Purchasing Policy
intentions relative to usage of quotation forms for
identification of Village specifications for services
and materials sought.
10. The Director of Public Works and the Water System
Manager informed of Break Policy Draft prepared by
Village Manager and that same would be forwarded to
them for comments.

11. The Director of Public Works was questioned whether or
not mosquito control spraying was underway, wherein he
advised that an insufficient numbers of calls for such
service had yet to be received to cause same to be
initiated.
12. The Water System Manager was directed to remove
undergrowth behind the storage tank at Village Hall to
eliminate excessive undergrowth.
13. The Water System Manager provided Village Manager with
a copy of Sick Leave Abuse Letter to specific
employees.
14. The Chief of Police advised that Tequesta Oaks'
president had expressed concerns relative to posting of
"No Parking" signs on Tequesta Oaks Drive.
15. The Director of Public Works presented contracts for
FEMA grant money for the Village Manager to sign.
16. The Director of Public Works was requested to check
eastbound Tequesta Drive for contractor damage.
17. The Finance Director advised that small items inventory
needed to be conducted now per auditor's instructions.
18. The Finance Director sought direction from Village
Manager for carryover encumbrances procedures.
19. The Finance Director advised that amendments to the
budget had been made.
20. The Fire Chief sought directions for Water Department
piggybacking his contract for public safety pagers.
21. The Fire Chief presented information relative to a
company doing grant applications for numerous
municipalities in Palm Beach County and suggested same
be utilized by Tequesta.

22. The Village Manager presented a video presentation to
all department heads relative to the "Year 2000
Problem" to instill awareness of significance of issue.
