Other than this we have had no problems at a11_ F ilne» C~ntCr - Fitness equipment - Some fitness equipment has been do Hated to us through the YMCA of the Palm Beaches- This equipmenrt which .consists primarily of cardiovascular equipment will provide our members with the kind of equipment they have requested. However, we are in serious tfeed of some tt+eadrmlls and steppers, a' ~d are constantly asked by our members when this equipment will be available. [have submitted s number of quotes for treadmills at Mr. Bradford's cequest, and hopefitl[y we c .an find a suitable arrangement and price ta~ accotntnodate the members. fJur i'ocus is to ~ continue our efforts in providing better equipment to our members, and to eventually hay •e a complete fitness area consisting of flee weights, cardiovascular equipment, and weight machines. The YMCA is still in tb~e process of finishing its fitness packet for corps rate rnennberships through the use of the fitness center. This idea would give the co ttmunity, and its businesses, an opportunity to purchase a YMCA membership at a much lower cast. The YMCA has approached the Fire and Police Department with this idea, thrc ugh our contact with Kathy Masser, the Departments recreation Director, and a definit a interest has been shown. 6aclz business would be able to pwchase mettnberships for their 07/12/1999 15:42 561-575-6245 PUBLIC WORKS FAC PAGE 03 ,~uZ-12-99 o2:lOP YMCA of Tequesta P-~~ employee's at a discounted price, still entitling t1:.,..~ to a!1 YMCA membership 1 privileges.
