HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Special Meeting_12/05/1985r, • MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA DECED4BER 5, 1985 A Special Council Meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta was held at 8:30 A.M., Thursday, December 5, 1985 in the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Councilmembers present were: Gemino, Howell, Murphy and Stoddard. Also present were: Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk and John C. Randolph, Johnston, Sasser, Randolph $ Weaver. The meeting was called to order at 8:50 A.M. because Mayor Stoddard was not present due to a meeting conflict. Mayor Stoddard came to the meeting at 9:00 A.M. and the meeting continued. The purpose of this meeting was to meet with R. H. Properties for their proposed Pride's Plaza Shopping Center and for consideration of final approval for new roof elevations incorporating a the roof similar to Community Savings Building. To consider approval of paint color for Pride Plaza and Community Savings Building to be the same. For consideration of drawings in three di- mensions for design of awnings. Representatives for R. H. Properties presented Council with revised plans and colored renderings which incorporate peaked the roofs in certain areas of the Shopping Center. The proposed Walgreen area is to look the same as the Food Center. The food store area had a wider vestibule area and they had used a the roof for the food store area. Gemino asked if the Community Appearance Board is going to approve the lettering for the different stores. Mr. moon, Architect, told Council the Community Appearance Board has approved lettering for Walgreens and the Food Store which will have different types of lettering. Mr. Hoon also told Council that the color of the boxes for the signs will be the same color and size for each store, but the color of the lettering will depend on the store. The Council was told that the Shopping Center now has 16.40 landscaping and four (4) fountains. Mr. Hoon shotiaed the revised Site Plan for the traffic ingress and egress where the entrance off of U.S. No. 1 has been moved to the north end of the Shopping Center off of U.S. i1o. 1. It was pointed out that this entrance and exit would be away from the cut across U.S. No. 1 which had made the Department of Transportation more receptive to the plans because D.O.T. is trying to get away from cut across areas on U. S. No. 1. Gemino moved, "that we approve the final revised Site Plan Approval for R. H. Properties Project Pride's Plaza". Murphy seconded and vote on the motion was: Gemino - for Howell - for Murphy - for Stoddard - for and therefore the motion was passed and adopted.
