HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Local Planning Agency_07/12/1983~, L • MINUTES OF THE SITE PLAN REVIEW OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA July 12, 1983 __ A Site Plan Review was held by the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 12, 1983 in the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Councilmembers present were: Beddow, Brown and Stoddard. Little had advised the Village Manager that he could not be present. Wagar was on vacation. Also present were: Robert Harp, Village Manager, Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk, Scott Ladd, Building Official and John C. Randolph, Village Attorney. The first item on the agenda for Site Plan Review was "Peter's", 209 Tequesta Drive, interior and exterior alterations. The Building Official read the applicant's letter of request. Larry Toney, builder and representative for Peter Makris (owner of Peter's) was present to present the Site Plan Review to Council. Mr. Toney told Council that this will be a public restaurant. They are doing some interior and exterior alterations. They will be putting in windows and two (2) signs on the walls. Stoddard o~anted to know if they could replace some dead plants with new ones without • having to go to the Community Appearance Board, were time wise it would slow i.l-_em down. The Village Attorney said Council could make it a condition of Site Plan Review approval. Mr. Toney said the temporary signs would become a permanent sign if they were approved by the Community Appearance Board. The next item on the agenda was the Tequesta Country Club Improvements. The Building Official read a letter of intent from the Tequesta Country Club requesting Site Plan Review for a ficus hedge for a buffer zone on the outer edge of their property and the construction of twelve (12j columns placed in this buffer zone. They also requested the approval of four (4) main columns. The Country Club also proposed to construct a four foot (4') high concrete. block wall to screen off from the public view the air conditioner pad on the East side of the Clubhouse. Mr. Bill Swallow, Vice-Chairman of the Greens Committee told Council that all of these improvements are on Country Club property. The next item on the agenda was the Eagle Family Discount Store, for the Eagle Family Discount Store, for interior and exterior alterations and sign change. The Building Official read their letter of intent. He also read into the record a letter of approval from Fehlhaber Corp. (shopping center owner). Mr. Todd Wilson, representative for Eagle Family Discount Store, explained briefly what alterations were intended for the store.
