MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF THE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
November 13, 1979
The Village Manager explained the purpose of this Public
Hearing was to consider changing the land use for the Blowing
Rock Condominium (500 Beach Road) from Medium Density (5.5 to
13 dwelling units per acre) to High Density (13+ dwelling units
per acre).
The Village Manager told Council that he had advised the
property owners on October 3, 1979, by letter, that the original
proposal to make their property medium density was predicated upon
the fact that Palm Beach County Planning and Zoning Department's
thinking around the latter part of 197$ was that those properties
on Jupiter Island lying within the County, in that area, would
be medium density. But recently Palm Beach County has decided
they intend to continue to allow high density development of these
areas.
After a brief discussion Mmes moved, "to amend the Land Use
• Plan for the Blowing Rock Condominium on Jupiter Island from
medium density (5.5 to 13 dwelling units per acre) to high density
(13+ dwelling units per acre)". Cook seconded and vote on the
motion was:
Brown -for
Cook -for
Mapes -for
Ryan -for
and therefore the motion was passed and adopted.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
