MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
June 24, 1980

Mayor Mapes called the Public Hearing to order. The Village
Manager explained that the purpose of this Public Hearing is to consider
the application of Jupiter-Tequesta Junior Citizens, Inc., 399 Seabrook
Road, Tequesta for an expansion, enlargement or modification of an
existing Special Exception Use in the R-1 Single Family District to
provide for the construction of an approximate 40' x 25' storage room
on the northwest corner of the existing building.
The Building Official showed the plot plan and sketch of the
proposed addition. The Building Official told Council that the Community
Appearance Board has approved the plans. The JTJC Building is considered
a "Special Exception Use" because it is located in a R-1 Single Family
Dwelling District.
Dr. Pat Zaccarra, President of JTJC told Council that the program
now has anywhere from 40 to 50 kids coming out at one time. The program
has just registered its 125th. child into the program. The storage room
is needed to clear out things that are taking up space in the building.
