Councilmembers present were Cook, Little, Ryan and Stoddard.
1'iayor Rapes h.ad advised the Council he would be on vacation,
Also present ~~~ere Robert ciarp, Village Manager, Cyrese Colbert.,
Village Cler~_ and John C. Randolph, Village Attorney.

• la,,(1) Consideration of Site Plan Zeview for Southeast
Bank of Tequesta
The First item on file agenda was the consideration of
Site Plan Review for Southeast Sank of Tequesta. (The Site
Plan I~evie~~ Baas held ,just prior to this meeting;). Ryan rr_oved,
"for the application of: the Site Plan ~~eviec~, for Southeast
Tank of Tequesta". Little seconded ar.d vote on the rr.otior.

The Village ilanag;er's report for A~~gust 24-30, 1G~0 was
received. The Village Finar~ca-al Statement and. the ti'Tater
Department Financial Statement for August, 1.~r,0 were also
received.
:r. Join ~~c~une, Gee ~~ Jenson, was present to give status
report on the Ground '~,~Jater ~~Iithdrawal System Safe Yield Study.
:sir, ~Ic~iune told Council that the study shows the water is there
which they -thought dvould be. The wells will not be able to
• purlp at 2 thousand gallons per minute but there probably uaill
be enough for the Vi11ag'e of Tequesta to supply its needs
provided the different agencies give their approvals.
i-lr. ~'icr une also told Council that tie proposed future
• ~~vell fields ~,-gill be in the area of. F er_rlwood Road, ~~iartin
County. This area has hi.storical.ly maintained the highest
water table elevation during d.rjr periods. But T~Lr, r-lcKune
told Council that until Gee ~~~ Jenson. ~;et a final determination
f nor; South Florida dater ~~anagement District they won't be
abl.f~ to say for sure when the 'U i page of Tequesta can start
testing in that area.
Tr. T~:cKune also advised Council that until we hear from
South Florida 'dater Tianage~~ent District the Village should
not act on the possible take over of the J~zpiter Island Beach.
Company (water service) as requested by owner Francis T. Ryan.
He told Council that the South. Florida ~~°dater ~~anagement District
Safe Yield approval should be known within 2 months. Ryan
moved, "to authorize Gee & Jenson 'to make are appraisal of th.e
Jupiter Island '~~Jater Department". Little seconded and vats on

• T'lr, Francis i~yan, Juniter Island Beach Company, spoke
briefly to Colzncil about his ~,vater company.
'''Ir, ~'•Zrkune told Council the cast of the appraisal_ will be
about ~2, CLOG. or ~3 , 000.
•~lr. John Giba, resident, told Council he believes the
Village should taT:e the action of the Zoning Board. of Adjustment
one step further and declare the Lone Star property a nuisance
and to have it demolished.
i`s. Susan. Reese, resident, told Council she would also
like to see it removed.
Several other residents of the Tequesta Pines Subdivision
complained about the Lone Star Plant.
The Village Attorney told Cauncil, that the Building
Official has to first. checl~ out the building to see if in fact,
the building can be or s'riould he conder7~ned.
T'%r. Tzobert Tioo.re, resident, tall-tied to Council about the
"i~.?o `Il~ru Truck" traffic on Country Club Drive anal asked when
something tivould be lane to remove the temporary moratorium
on Country Club Drive. The Village Attorney advised that the
report on the moratorium will_ be at the next iauT1C1~ 'ileet;ing.

period. The Village ~~anager told Council that all of the
organizations using tl~~e hall are non-prof_t civic, cultural,
govern~::ental or or~;anizati.ons of Village residents and taxpayers.
Co~,ncil. took no action on the resolution but instructed the

with Nichols Sanitation. The franchise is for a period of 5
,yToars and tar>es effect October 1, 190. The rates are ~~6.05

complained to him about people riding three wheeled motorized
