MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF THE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA
June 12, 1979

A Public Hearing of the Council of the Village of Tequesta,
Florida was held at 7:00 P.M., on Tuesday, June 12, 1979 in the
Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Councilmembers
present were Brown, Mapes, Ryan and Yoder. Councilmember Cook
tivas out of town. Also present were Robert Harp, Village Manager,
Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk and John C. Randolph, Village Attorney.
Mr. John Giba, Village of Tequesta Planning Consultant, advised
that the Local Governmental Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975
requires that each Municipality and County in the State of Florida
develop, submit and adopt a Comprehensive Plan by July 1, 1979.
Mr. Giba told Council that on January 22, 1979 the Village held
a Comprehensive Development Plan Public Hearing, on January 30, 1979
Council held a Special Council Meeting at which time they accepted
the Comprehensive Development Plan and Land Use Plan for submission
to State, Region and County agencies. In April, 1979 there was a
review by various State agencies and certain changes made by Council
to the Plan. Noun the final phases were to have the Public Hearing
tonight and to have a Public Hearing on June 26, 1979 at which time
the Village Council may adopt the Plan. This would bring us within
the July 1, 1979 deadline, mandated by the Local Governmental
Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975.
The meeting was adjourned
