A Public Hearing on the proposed 1979-1980 Budget was held by the Council

of town. Also present was Cyrese Colbert, Village Clerk. The Village Manager

be accessed at 80% of its value.

Mayor Brown explained that the Village of Tequesta has needed more
money for several years now to get needed personnel and equipment but
Council has kept the Millage low and maybe shouldn't have. Now the State
has put into effect a law similar to "Proposition 13" which limits the amount
of money municipalities can receive through taxes.
